ELECT: Here's a prescription to win
If you live in Coeur d’Alene and have a penchant to become an elected official, here is your stump:
1. Abolish the thought of the park upgrade. Your explanation of this would be in asking any potential challenger as to how the perpetual upkeep of such a grandiose idea is to occur. All the while espousing the continual crumbling of the streets and sidewalks (or have you forgotten about the sidewalks) in your town. A nice shiny new park but in getting to it, one that causes people to ruin their vehicles doing so.
2. Abolish the rampant cronyism of the top tier officials in each department. Code enforcement and snow removal programs while backed by law are not enforced because the same top tier officials avoid the persecution of their constituents who constantly ask for such enforcement choosing instead to play the middle. Choosing to follow the law and or make hard decisions for the benefit of all is the signature of true leaders.
3. Bring back unlimited hydroplane racing and tax the living hell out of it right down to every last bottle of beer left laying on the beach. Seeing how Ironman and Haggy have their free usage of your public space, someone’s gotta pay for it.
If you make this your stump, you will win in a landslide. Need a campaign manager?
