Nancy Ann Kyle, 41 April 28, 1971 - June 7, 2012

| June 12, 2012 9:15 PM

When Nancy joined our family by adoption at age 14, we knew God sent her to help us laugh. Her giggles and tall tales kept us smiling. Born in Chicago, she left the familiar city and foster care system where she’d resided since infancy, boarded a jet bound for Spokane, and arrived, brave and gutsy, to start life in Idaho on Cedar Mountain Farm near Athol.

We homeschooled, so Nancy spent her teen years in school with sisters Mary Kyle (Rockaway Beach, Ore.) and Angie Wright (Coeur d’Alene) and brothers Eddie Kyle (Cocoa, Fla.), Tony Kyle (Spokane) and Robb Kyle (Inchelium, Wash.). She sang in choirs at North Idaho Christian School and North Idaho College and loved it! She enjoyed cooking for the family and thought changing irrigation pipes was for the birds.

Nancy spent most of her adult life in Newberg and McMinnville, Ore. One son lives there now with his father and step-mom. Three younger sons reside in an adoptive home in Idaho. Nancy loved her babies. One, a daughter, was stillborn. Surely Nancy rejoices at her heavenly reunion with her little girl, Sasha.

As Nancy’s parents, we (Al and Daryl Ann Kyle) rejoice in the blessing of Nancy in our lives. We thank the Willamette Valley Cancer Center for their love and care as Nancy battled cancer.

We invite you to join us in celebrating her life at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Hayden Friends/Anthem Church, 251 W. Miles, Hayden Lake. Since Nancy loved to have a party, please bring a salad or dessert and join us for a potluck meal as we heal together and joyfully picture her with Jesus.

If you would like to make a memorial contribution, we suggest your favorite children’s charity to honor Nancy’s child-like heart.
