Dorothy Kositzky, 81

Dorothy Louis Kositzky, of Coeur d’Alene, died June 6, 2012, at Kootenai Medical Center. Dorothy Bengs was born March 13, 1931, the daughter of Walter and Verna (Griese) Bengs in Union, N.D.

After high school in 1950, she went on to receive a degree in elementary education where she taught for few years then worked for a physician until she married LeRoy Kositzky in 1958. She then moved to Coeur d’Alene about 1966.

She loved to serve others; and dedicated her life to this pursuit. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, collecting antiques; as well as other items of beauty.

She is survived by a daughter, Carla (Randy) Patterson and son Curtis Kositzky; granddaughter Melissa (Steve) Dyer; grandson Roy Kositzky; and two great-grandchildren, Ella and Wyatt.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheri Kositzky and a brother Alvin Bengs.

A memorial service will be held at noon Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Yates Funeral Home, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
