Travis Leo Hanks, 71

| June 5, 2012 10:00 PM

Born July 1, 1940, and passed on May 31, 2012, with family at his bed side.

I want to take this opportunity, on behalf of the entire family, to acknowledge and thank many of the people that sent prayers, provided meals and visited Leo during such a devastating time. I also want to recognize the CICU at Kootenai Medical Center for the outstanding patient care Leo received, it was deeply appreciated. Due to there being no services, the family has requested all last respects be shown in the form of a donation to your favorite charity.

Leo held a lifetime career of welding with the majority being with EPI. He had a special love for the great outdoors and was an amazing horseman from breaking to trail riding.

If Leo would have had a chance to express his last thoughts to his loving wife Sharon of 51 wonderful years, it would be; Thank you for a lifetime full of beautiful memories, I have always loved you with all my heart until the end of time.

Leo is also survived by his daughters, Renee Lund and husband Christian, Tina Turbin and husband Greg; son Scott Hanks and wife Karen; grandchildren, Katie and husband Pat, Christopher, Alex, Becca and Travis; great-grandson Gabe; brothers, Rolland and Cletus; and many extended family.

Leo you know you have always been the love of my life, so wait for me at heaven’s gate so we can continue to dance.

So always remember…

I will stand right by my man,

until my eyes grow dim.

I can’t imagine life without him.

I waited a lifetime long to find a man like him.

I need him more than life-breath within.

We fit together heart-wise,

he is where my heart lies;

lying sheltered in his arms forever.

English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d’Alene, has been entrusted to handle final arrangements. Please visit Leo’s online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
