LETTER: Writer should look in mirror

| June 3, 2012 9:00 PM

In Harley Duff’s letter he asked if anyone in America believes that a man can’t remember back 40 to 50 years ago what happened in his teenage years. Fortunately, Harley can give exact information that we should take for eyewitness type gospel truth without any partisan cheap shots.

The reporting he cites as facts about Bain Capital coming from the Huffington Post — don’t let facts distort rhetoric. Fact is that Bain has a 78 percent success rate in reorganizing companies back to profit margins, and citing events that happened several years after he left Bain shows a cowardly desire to deceive.

The far left should go back to their old tactic, like accusing the past president of cocaine use even after several years without finding a single witness to the accusations. I remember them saying we shouldn’t have a man in the White House who used or dealt drugs.

I would suggest Harley take the advice he offered in his letter and fess up that he has no moral grounds to cast the first stone, and passing on partisan gossip as factual is shameful and using the term cowardly shows a lack of honor or credibility. Hopefully he can tell us his teenage years were without mistakes, and using double standards are acceptable.
