CARTOON: Just the pap, ma'am

Your 22 July political “cartoon” was disgusting, showing a Boy Scout selling cookies and being advised by a homeowner that he should accept homosexuals. The Scout’s boxes are labeled “prejudice,” “discriminate,” “homophobia” and “backwards.” What a bunch of cowardly, insulting liberal pap!

It is utterly gutless — and PHONY — to CLAIM to be so open-minded that ANYthing is acceptable. It’s just easier than actually deciding what is right and what is wrong — by a higher standard. The “person” who created this “artwork” also has some standards — it’s just that they bottom out in the gutter and he demands we all join him there. What’s right is right, even if no one is doing it; what’s wrong is wrong, even if everyone is doing it.

May I suggest some alternative cookie-box labels: standards, morality, non-perversion, clean-minded, faithful, freedom of association.
