Shannon Rae Cabbage - Campbell (POOH) Age 45

With heavy hearts we sadly announce the passing of Shannon Rae Cabbage. Shannon was born in Butte, Mt on October 25, 1966. She passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side on July 15, 2012. She fought a brave and courageous battle against breast cancer for 9 ½ years. Thank you to the staff and nurses at Kootenai Cancer Center and especially Dr. Tezcan for all their years of dedication and emotional support given to Shannon.

Shannon enjoyed camping, 4-wheeling, and spending time with all her wonderful family and friends. Shannon and Greg would have celebrated 25 beautiful years together on July 27, 2012.

She is survived by her husband Greg; Daughters, Erica Rae and husband Michael, Shanel Lynn; two much loved grandsons, Tanner David (4) Tyler Gregory (1) with another grandchild due in December and her much loved Shih Tzu, Keena Lynn all of Post Falls, Id.

Shannon also leaves behind her loving parents, Dick and Dean Campbell of Post Falls, Sisters Terri Johnson and husband Rick, Clarkston, WA, Cindy Peugh, Airway Heights, WA, Renee Marmon and husband Jim, Post Falls, Id, and Brother Jeff Campbell, Great Falls, MT, as well as Father-in-law, Gene Cabbage, Sister-in-law Cheri Johnson and husband Roger, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Shannon will be missed dearly by all her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up at any local US Bank under the account of Shannon Cabbage memorial fund, in her honor.

We miss you Shannon. You will never be forgotten. May each beautiful memory of Shannon be a place you return to for strength, for comfort, for peace.

At Shannon’s request there will be no formal service. There will be a gathering for family and friends held on July 28, 2012 in Rathdrum Idaho. This will be a day to celebrate her life with us. Food and music, stories and laughter, tears and beers.
