FEDS: That money is ours

| July 20, 2012 9:00 PM

This must be just another case of ignorance at work. I can’t believe you would print false information. Do you not check your article for truth? Especially an “editorial?”

Social Security is not funded by the government. It is just the opposite. The government cannot operate without using our social security monies.

The government now owes Social Security over $2 trillion. Wouldn’t we be in great shape if they would only pay it back (fat chance). We would probably be paid twice the amount we now collect if properly run.

Social Security must be separated from the government; they must be kept from using any of our Social Security money! It was meant for the people who paid into it, not to support the world.

There was a vote not long ago to separate Social Security from the government and of course it didn’t pass. They want our money to fund all the wonderful things the government does for us - ha - and mostly for themselves.

If we could cut the government (all) in half and then all their paychecks and perks in half I think our country would be in great shape. Oh, also stop the “lobbying.” I always thought that bribery was illegal. I guess you just put another name on it: lobbying.

You know, a little common sense would go a long way too. Unfortunately as long as the name of the game is “money, money, money,” that probably won’t happen. We have way “too many chiefs” and not enough Indians, as they say, and too many elite (in their own eyes) who need to be brought back down to Earth like the rest of us.

They tell us to vote; that is the way to fix everything. It doesn’t seem to be working so well right now, so I hope someone figures it out soon before we are totally down the drain.
