COUNTY: Play video game instead
This is a short and respectful letter to oppose the ULUC. It’s difficult for me to believe that our commissioners are so willing to take away owners’ personal property rights. The fact that the county even hired an outsider, Todd Messenger I believe, to come in and make these alarming changes is distressing and insulting. It’s our county, we are capable of making any changes to it ourselves and even more so because we live here. I don’t like my tax dollars being abused in this way.
I would like to say two things. 1. Treat your neighbor as you would want to be treated. Fortunately now, not everything can be micromanaged and governed right down to the last inch and shrub. Unfortunately, some people have to put up with annoying neighbors. 2. I have a recommendation to make for our commissioners, Green, Tondee and Nelson. If you need to get the ULUC out of your system, sign up on Facebook and start playing “CityVille,” or go out and buy “Sim City” if you want to have your own perfect little county. It’s not nice to take away the rights of people that worked hard to own their own property.
You may think I am being sarcastic, but I’m not. The commissioners have messed up; it’s time they admit it, cease and desist with the ULUC, stop telling people what they can and can’t do with their land, eat the financial loss and just move forward. Farewell Mr. Messenger.
