WOLVES: Once again, they get the blame

Dear Jane: I wish I could say "I'm sorry" for the loss of your Australian shepherd, healer mix, but I won't. Clearly you are aware of wolves in your area as mentioned in the article on Jan. 19. Chaining a dog to a utility pole in the territory of wolves certainly sounds like baiting to me. Poor Buckwheat, in frigid conditions, chained and helpless was not your pet, but a bait dog. I blame YOU for this unnecessary tragedy.
