SERIES: A job well done, Press

| January 25, 2012 9:00 PM

I am writing in response to the three-part series "Two Years Later..." Being a friend of Adam Johnson, I wish to express my gratitude to Tom Hasslinger for writing the article, and to the rest of the Coeur d'Alene Press staff for allowing its publication.

I have watched this story progress over the past two years and have been following the media coverage of it. I am so glad that someone has finally sought the truth, gathered information on both sides of the altercation and published the truth in a positive light for the community to read.

I had grown tired of the negative news reports of the shooting and sympathetic to Johnson who, being a resident of the community, received somewhat of an infamous reputation.

The three-part series is a fine example of skilled and dedicated journalism. It not only captures the truth from both sides of the conflict, but also clears up previous confusion linked to the occurrence. I am pleased with the article and proud to know our community has been informed of the truth.
