CLOSURE: Bidding farewell to The Pit

On behalf of the Back Country ATV Assn. Inc., and the other ATV clubs in North Idaho, I would like to express our great disappointment and sadness on the closure of the Snake Pit.

Joe and Rose Mary have been staunch advocates for the motorized and non-motorized community for many years. Joe has served on many boards dealing with the local trail systems and their uses. He did not separate the users, as everyone was on an equal basis as far as he was concerned. The Snake Pit was a great destination stop for all of the motorized groups. We all got to eat the great food and of course the free Huckleberry ice cream before heading back on the trails to home.

Joe and Rose Mary will be sorely missed. The closing of the Snake Pit surely will leave one big hole in the forest. We all are going to miss them. We will keep them in our prayers.
