BUDGET: Two steps to help the state

I note in the news Gov. Otter recommends: 1. State income tax reduction for the top 16 percent of the filers; 2. Reduction in corporate taxes; 3. Pay increase to state employees; 4. Restoring funds in the "Rainy Day Fund."

Permit me to recommend a change: 1. Restore former cuts in the Medicaid fund; 2. A reduction of the state sales tax, which would benefit all the people in the state.
