OPINIONS: No room for hate in debate

| February 29, 2012 9:00 PM

Another Friday and another waste of time by another hater having “his turn.” Justin thinks it’s a “radical” view to think life begins at conception. He makes light of Rick Santorum “knowing” life begins at conception then tells us he “knows” it doesn’t. Either point of view is well within the mainstream and anything but radical.

People like Justin puzzle me. They are so quick to vilify those with differing opinions as somehow evil, so quick to create fear around those that don’t agree with him, and so quick to malign his fellow Americans for their honest opinions. Even the entire basis of his rant is misplaced because Rick Santorum has never called for denying birth control to women.

It’s a pathetic scare tactic manufactured by those who can’t possibly defend the current occupant of the White House so they set their sights on demeaning his opponents with any information they can, true or not. Get ready for more from people like Justin, unable to comprehend that others might think differently than him and unprepared to defend the status quo but prepared to malign and demonize those threatening it.

And Justin, your final quote from Mr. Twain works both ways and might as well be Obama’s campaign theme.
