McEUEN: Offer to start a movement

McEuen Park supporters have banded together to drive the project to completion.

Possibly citizens who want to be heard on this matter need to also band together! It’s time to stop throwing our hands in the air and spouting off about how the City Council isn’t listening to the citizens on the park matter. So many “pro” statements just don’t make sense, such as where the money is really coming from, or using “rainy day” funds to buy land for one baseball park, or “no bids are required.”

Citizens need to come up with a plan, someone trustworthy to handle donations, and bring the issue to the voters. I do not have the knowledge to start such a movement, but I do have the desire, am able to help, and have $20 to start the movement. If no one acts, we will only have ourselves to blame.
