MACK: Back off political attack
Sheriff Mack came to national prominence when, along with Sheriff Printz of Montana, he filed the lawsuit: Mack vs. United States (later Printz vs. United States) in opposition of the Brady Bill over the requirement of county sheriffs to execute federal law. A county sheriff stood up to the federal government and all of their resources and was successful. In the decision, Justice Scalia wrote, “The Federal Government may not compel the states to enact or enforce a federal regulatory program.” Written in 1997, this ruling is another brick in the wall against Obama Care and other federal mandates.
Sheriff Mack also has formed the Constitutional Sheriff and Law Enforcement Association dedicated “to educate and equip sheriffs, peace officers and public officials with the necessary information and public support to carry out their duties in accordance with their Oath of Office.” For those of you who worry about the over reach of the federal government including the Department of Interior, BLM, EPA and OSHA, this is the guy who will help gird your local officials to oppose that power grab. As a member of Oath Keepers, he helps educate the current servers (military, law enforcement, firefighters) about the Bill of Rights to help ensure they protect your God given rights against unlawful orders.
This is exactly what the Republican Party needs to hear. This is the TEA party wing of the Republican Party in action.
