Vehicle in wrong lane causes crash
LIBERTY LAKE - A vehicle in the wrong lane caused a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 90 at Liberty Lake on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Washington State Patrol, Kelly A. Yancey, 39, Liberty Lake, was westbound in an eastbound lane at 3:52 p.m. in a 2001 Honda Accord.
The Honda struck an eastbound 2009 Mazda M3 driven by Elizabeth E. Barbour, 52, Newman Lake almost head on.
Yancey and Barbour were transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center. Yancey was in satisfactory condition on Wednesday, while Barbour was treated and released.
After the vehicles collided, the Honda spun and struck a 2008 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Chelsea E. Piper, 21, Post Falls. Both Piper and passenger Brayden C. Gordon, 1, Post Falls, were not injured.
All occupants were wearing their seat belts.
