VICK: He and Hart must go

| February 22, 2012 9:00 PM

Americans and Idahoans have readily become accustomed to blatant hypocrisy from its politicians. But we don't need to stay accustomed to it in North Idaho. State Sen. Steve Vick is one such hypocrite we can do without.

He is a close supporter and stooge of tax cheat, timber thief Phil Hart, a man who continues to escape a vote of censure in the Idaho Legislature for his crimes. Yet Vick is one of the nine senators who found the ethical backbone to attempt to vote John McGee out of leadership for his Father's Day drunk driving joy-ride; he signed a letter making his position public to preserve the public confidence of that body.

Really? Steve Vick expects us to believe he's a man of high ethical standards and yet he continues to be Phil Hart's lackey. Steve Vick should be ashamed of his hypocritical stance and voters should hold him accountable for this corrupted character. This November it's time to vote out Vick and send Phil Hart to jail.
