GOP: Dictating lifestyles again
Boy, if you didn't think the conservatives/Republications wanted to rule the world and tell you how to live your personal lives, just review the news this week. Especially everything that came out of their recent Washington, D.C., meeting.
They don't want to make birth control available to certain groups of women. Santorium even stated a week or so ago, that he felt the states should work on BANNING birth control altogether! Right, lets keep women barefoot, pregnant and housebound. Pretty soon men won't be content telling us what to do with our bodies, they will probably want to take the vote away from us too.
And the news from the Idaho statehouse that the Republican legislators would not even give a hearing to a gay rights bill is another form of control (story buried way inside in the Saturday Press). One member even said it was against his personal moral religion to allow this Bill. Whatever happened to the will and wishes of the people?
Wasn't he elected to represent ALL of us? It doesn't exist in a one-party state where conservatives think they have all the answers and the rest of us should follow in lock step with them.
Pay attention to what is going on in the legislature now and how our Republican House and Senate members in Congress are voting. Is a really rigid straight and narrow conservative view really the direction you personally want the state and nation to go?
Be careful what you wish for...
