AIDE: There's more to the story
I would like to point out a few things on behalf of the Parrett family.
First I would like to point out that the mother was not interviewed for this article, and it is wrong for the public to assume that the Parrett family is a single family unit.
In fact the parents are not together. I know that the mother is saddened by what has happened and distraught by the hateful comments she has read and even received some by mail. I like to point out to Joni Birch that yes, the mother does care for all of her children when they are not in school. She cooks meals for them and takes them to church and to volunteer.
Regarding Kameryn's service dog, I see them out in public all the time. The school has not been supportive of the dog coming to school; that is why the dog was not there. Also, yes, one of the boys did receive a new bike from Walmart; he also received several donations which he donated to the Children's Village. Of course no story was done on that. Two Christmases ago, the same boy raised money to buy 22 teddy bears for the Children's Village.
Finally, the family never asked for the aide to be fired; they just wanted a different aide. They were not after any type of lawsuit. I know this family very well; the mom works and will help anyone who asked. I am grateful to know them.
