Harriett L. Meyer, 92

Harriett L. Meyer, 92, of Post Falls, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Guardian Angel Homes in Post Falls. She was born Dec. 14, 1919, in Surprise, Neb.

On March 27, 1943, she married Cecil C. Meyer. The couple moved to Post Falls in 1946 when only about 800 people called Post Falls home.

Harriett loved family and traveling. She enjoyed gardening and canning her home grown produce and knitting and sewing buttons on clothing for her church, Seventh-day Adventist.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Margorie Meyer of North Pole, Alaska; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Contributions may be made to the Post Falls Historical Society or the Lions Club.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls.
