Loretta B. Crofford, 92

Loretta B. Crofford, 92, resident of Athol, passed away Jan. 26, 2012, at Wellspring Meadows in Hayden. She was born June 27, 1919, in Preston, Kan., to James and Ella (Colburn) Barcus.

Loretta married Dwight C. Crofford in June 1941 in Idaho Falls. They moved to Post Falls in 2001 from Arizona. When she wasn't busy taking care of her family, Loretta enjoyed music, especially playing and teaching the piano, knitting and sewing. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Loretta is survived by her son, Gerald Crofford of Kirkland, Wash.; grandson Steven Crofford of Seattle and Loretta was one of 12 children and has one sister living in Kansas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight; son Ronald; parents; six brothers and four sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at Wellspring Meadows, 9873 Buttercup Lane, Hayden, ID 83835.
