Karen Sue Cavasar (Eddy), 60
Karen Sue Cavasar (Eddy) passed away Jan. 29, 2012, in Coeur d'Alene, the day of her 60th birthday.
Karen was born in Orlando, Fla., on Jan. 29, 1952, to Gaines Woodrow Eddy and Mary Pearl Brown. She was very close to her parents and three brothers. She was raised in Oregon and finished high school in McCallen, Texas.
Karen had a bachelor's degree and was a licensed social worker. She loved her work and was a support and blessing to those that she worked with.
The most important part of Karen's life was her family, friends and clients. She devoted her life to supporting, caring for and uplifting others. Being the selfless, great example she was, others burdens became her own and she was never too busy to help when needed. Karen never missed a chance to tell her family and friends how much they meant to her. As a result of this, she is loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Karen loved to read, listen to music, cook and being outdoors. However, Karen's favorite pastime could probably be described in one word: GRANDCHILDREN! Her grandchildren always looked forward to her little gifts of love and they cherished the time she spent reading them stories.
Karen is survived by her two brothers, Phillip and Dan Eddy; her two daughters and their spouses, Kara and John Baisden, Alison and Chris Cooke; and her six grandchildren.
A service will be held for Karen at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.
The family would like to thank Hospice House for their outstanding help. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.
