Pearl Ko Fleck, 60

Pearl Ko Fleck, 60, of Coeur d’Alene, died peacefully Dec. 22, 2012, at Kootenai Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Dec. 31, 1951, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Antonio and Kilsune Alquiza. Pearl was raised on the Hawaiian Islands of Oahu and Hawaii. When she was a teenager, her family moved to Chula Vista, Calif. She attended Southwestern College where she met and married Michael Fleck. Pearl and Michael had recently celebrated 40 years of marriage.

She worked as a massage therapist where many knew her for her kind spirit and healing touch.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; two daughters, Jennifer and Gina; granddaughter Sophia; sister Ann and her brother, Tony.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Dec. 30, 2012, at the Unity Church, 4465 N. 15th, Coeur d’Alene.
