TRAGEDY: Guns are the solution
In the past year we have seen the tragic events of several mass murders. It is extremely sad for all the victims’ families and friends that these senseless killings took from them their loved ones.
Two things we should remember from these events; number one is the victims of these terrible incidents, they are the ones who must be remembered, for they were completely innocent and defenseless. Unfortunately, I am afraid that the killers will be the ones most remember, yet should not be.
Second thing we should remember is, the right to self defense should never be infringed on by the government. If the teachers at Columbine and Virginia Tech, the citizens in the movie theater in Aurora, the people at the mall in Portland, and any place that restricts guns, IF these people were armed many lives could have been saved. When the right to self defense is restricted, it allows an opportunity for psychopaths to commit these atrocities.
We the people must never become dependent of the police to protect us, as we have seen they are not capable of doing so. I place partial blame for these horrific events on our own government that infringe on the 2nd Amendment right to self defense.
