Berdie (Verda Lu) Heel, 55

| December 6, 2012 8:00 PM

Berdie (Verda Lu) Heel, 55, died at Hospice House of North Idaho, at 6 p.m. Dec. 3, 2012. The daughter of Vernon Walsh and Shirley (Dittburner) Walsh was born March 20, 1957, in Chicago, Ill., and moved to Denver, Colo., in 1979.

She married Alan Heel on Dec. 2, 1983. She received her associate’s degree in accounting at Front Range Community College in 1990. Berdie and Alan moved to Post Falls in 2001.

She is survived by her sister, Vernee Martin; and her cousin, Richard Peters.

Berdie was an active member of Real Life Ministries in Post Falls. She loved and lived by the Bible, which is the Word of God. Her favorite verse was John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Knowing that all need a Savior, Berdie would want all to know that Christ, out of love, died for them to pay the penalty for their sins, and that He said “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” (John 6:37).

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Dec. 7, 2012, at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls.
