Diane Elaine Eisenbarth Johnson Schmidt, 66

Passed into the hands of the Lord on Dec. 2, 2012, at Swedish Hospital in Seattle due to complications from a seven-year battle with cancer.

She was born on Oct. 2, 1946, to Dean E. and Pauline (Belyea) Eisenbarth in Spokane.

Attended school in Coeur d’Alene, graduating for Coeur d’Alene High School in 1964. In July 1964, she married David Johnson and they had two daughters, Deana and Debra. May 1, 1996, Diane married David L. Schmidt in Maluaka Park, Maui, Hawaii.

Diane is survived by her loving husband, David L. Schmidt; parents, Dean and Laura Eisenbarth; daughters, Deana Dunbar (Chuck) and Debra Bennett (Scott); stepdaughters, Aneka Burns and Tristanne Scheidegger (Rob); sisters, Dona Miller (John), Linda Sandeno, Sandra Christianson and Julie Bliesner (Rob); and brothers, Kenneth Christianson, Lon E. Jones (Dianne) and Larry A. Jones (Rita). Diane leaves seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Pauline Christianson; stepson Michael Schmidt and brother Len Jones.

A memorial of Diane’s life will be held in June 2013 in Kirkland, Wash.
