PARENTS: Teach respect to kids
Post Falls Middle School parents are failing their children. My daughter is a student at Post Falls Middle School. I drop her off every morning and regularly see a few students in questionable clothing and makeup. One morning recently I saw a student in a skirt that barely covered her behind and enough makeup to make Tammy Faye Baker look like she was going with the natural look.
As I was trying to turn onto 15th to head to work, a student was crossing the street. He saw me waiting and walked as slowly as he could. I honked my horn and he flipped me the bird.
I am 37 and would never have dreamed of disrespecting an adult. I have taught my daughter to respect her elders, get the door for others and what is and isn’t appropriate to wear and say. To those parents who do not teach your children to respect themselves and others, you are doing them a serious disservice.
