WOLVES: Dispute 'expert' advice
What a wonderful article on how wolves hunt and how they are not impacting the elk population.
Too bad it is all fabrication. What a load of B.S. I have never seen such a distortion of facts in my life.
The KCEA hired this person to come and justify what they believe to be true about wolves. Not a word is true. It’s BS.
First of all I challenge his credentials. Just because he has a “wildlife management” degree doesn’t make him an expert in wolf behavior. The statistics he spoke of are a flat out lie. 89,000 elk were in Montana when the Canadian gray wolf was introduced. Now they are at 125,000? B.S.!
Anyone who can read can tell that the annual elk harvest reports for Montana are about 75 percent of what they were since Canadian wolves were introduced. Canadian wolves “only kill male elk who are compromised from the rut.” What a load of crap! I have seen at least 50 kills on the St. Joe and not one was a bull elk. Mr. Wuerther said that “wolves don’t like killing dangerous animals.” Cows and calves are prime targets for the Canadian wolf, because they can’t fight back. I hope this misinformation is from ignorance and not from malice.
In reading his blog, he states, “Hunters are somehow depraved and take out their anger on the wolves.” B.S. again! Is he an expert in sociology too? What a Quack!
