YOU: Ready to tell your story?

| April 22, 2012 9:15 PM

Everyone has a story to tell.

Life is full of interesting stories: drama, comedy, tragedy, wisdom, inspiration, sentiment, emotion, victory, defeat, adventure — a whole range of events that make up the fabric of our lives. We store these experiences in the bank account of our memories.

The Bible uses the word “WRITTEN” 273 times. When a story is written, it endures. Sometimes the oral tradition survives, but usually it is lost in the mists of time. Because it was written, the Bible and other great works of literature have outlasted even the greatest civilizations.

This is an invitation to you to write your story. At least one small piece of it. What event stands out the most in your life, and why? What story of your time on Earth would you like to hand down to future generations?

Your story is like hot buttered popcorn — a tasty morsel of history, irresistible, flavored by your interpretations of events that colored your life and salted with the reality that something happened that affected your life or someone else’s. Each event is a delicious kernel of popcorn in the bowl of life.

I am inviting people from around the world to send me their story for possible inclusion in a book of real life adventures.

Write your story as well as you can, but don’t worry about literary excellence. I’ll work with you on that. You can even share your story in an interview with me, face-to-face, on tape, disc or by phone. Please let me know if you would like to be part of this great project.

You have a story. Let’s tell it.
