ROMNEY: Friend of the people
Sandra Boynton wants to convince us that Mitt Romney is an enemy of the people by using his first name, Willard. Accurate name but her letter reflects a left wing bias that contains questionable accuracy.
Mitt Romney’s wife, family, associates, friends and the millions of women he has supported as the Governor of Massachusetts, and in saving the Winter Olympics, say he fought for women’s rights. This is not person with a “cold heart.” He supports the Constitutional rights of anyone seeking help; he does not support the left wing demand for payment of socialist programs with taxes. The left demands payment regardless of a person’s personal core values. In Sandra’s way of thinking, any demand the left wants is correct, any refusal by a conservative is cold and heartless.
The Constitution was never intended to protect those who do not show restraint or personal responsibility. Birth control “rights” are the individual’s responsibility, not the taxpaying public. If you make choices, then you must take responsibility for those choices, not transfer the cost to the general public.
Mitt Romney’s core is clear: He believes in limited government, family values, and strict adherence to the Constitution. Solyndra’s multi-million dollar loss was a perfect example of how some governmental “employees” need to have their jobs reviewed. Terminating people in the administration that OK programs such as Solyndra would be a first priority to a Mitt Romney administration.
The IRS and Governmental agencies’ definition of a corporation is “entity.” What Mitt Romney means when he talks about corporations, is that these “entities” are made up of people, and the responsibility of running, or closing, corporations can affect “people” who may be middle class stockholders with their life savings at stake. Their investment gives them rights too!
Romney played no part in subsidizing, or bailouts. Many of these laws have been on the books since FDR’s Democrat administration, and as a Governor, Romney had no input. In reality, Romney supports a complete review of these programs including the legislators who benefit financially from these programs.
We better hope Mitt Romney or someone like him takes over in November and gets us back on track before the current administration takes us over the cliff.
Best regards to a good paper.
