ISLAND: Answer questions first

A floating recreational island on Lake Coeur d’Alene? Sounds like fun. A few questions though.

Would this not tie up boat-trailer parking sites for a whole weekend? Trailer parking sites are a problem yet to be resolved. And located in Wolf Lodge Bay which is pretty much an “empty bay, except for fishermen?” Tell that to the large number of fisherman who use that bay to fish for kokanee and pike! It is also a major spawning area for kokanee and other fish. Also it is a stop over for Bald Eagles migrating south. It is a BIG lake. Locate this floating island toward the south end of the lake away from where all the major action takes place. Some dream big and say “why not” but others look at the whole picture and say “why?”
