COLUMN: Sums up conservatives

Kudos to Denise Graves for her “My Turn” article in the paper last week. It was insightful, informed, intelligent, rational and timely. She stepped up to the plate to compose a well-explained rebuttal to all the misinformation and misconception that appears in print and on the Internet, regarding what Conservatives believe, want for our country and will vote in favor of.

Obviously the downside is presented every day; we’re bombarded by it. As she said, Conservatives do not want to control anyone’s body. What’s at stake is being forced to pay for others’ “wants.” It’s being bandied around that these issues are “needs.” How about every citizen is given everything they want? Who will pay for all these “wants?”

It’s not the responsibility of the citizenry to provide for personal habits and behavior of everyone who thinks they’re entitled. Don’t believe everything they tell you. We aren’t as evil as the media portrays us.
