STIMULUS: Where are the facts, please?

| September 21, 2011 10:00 PM

Mr. StormoGipson, in your letter to the editor I take it that anyone who disagrees with you is ignorant or dishonest. Great way to get your points across. All I heard from you was a rehash of party bullet points with no following data.

Barack Obama said that unemployment would not exceed 8 percent with the first stimulus. And?

In your words only honest economists would agree that the first Stimulus was effective in creating jobs. Well if you've read any polls, performed by any organization, it's easy to see that Americans can't find the jobs which any honest economist would agree were created in Stimulus No. 1.

Once again George Bush is mentioned as the reason that the first bill was not enough. You said economists said it was a success, but now it's not enough.

At some point President Obama has to take responsibility for our economy. Blaming Bush helps whom? Did Barack Obama run on the platform that our economy was a disaster and he would do his best to help but don't expect miracles? No, he ran on the platform of change. He even had control of both houses and that didn't work.

And by the way it was the campaigning Barack Obama who said that raising taxes in a bad economy is the wrong thing to do. Just words? But his words.

Note those evil rich folks pay most of our the federal taxes and contribute most of the money to charity.
