Rebecca Ann Whitmore-McCorkle, 60

Rebecca Ann Whitmore-McCorkle passed away in Billings, Mont., on Sept. 13, 2011. Rebecca was born Jan. 21, 1951, in Oakland, Calif., to the loving parents of Jay and Dolly Whitmore.

The first born of three girls, Rebecca graduated from Eduardo High School in Placerville, Calif., in 1969. Rebecca moved with her family to Idaho in 1991, where she became known for her charity work.

Although her physical body is gone, her spirit and compassion will live on. Rebecca was an exceptional woman and was loved by everyone that knew her. She will be missed dearly.

Rebecca is survived by her loving parents, Jay and Dolly Whitmore of Post Falls; her sisters, Kathy Bennett and her husband (Jim) of California, and Anita Whitmore of Post Falls; her son, Jack Dickey and his wife (Carrie) of Post Falls; and their children River, Brookelin and Emberlyn; her son, Joel Gonzales of Florida and his daughter, Taylor; her niece and nephew, Mellissa Molitoris-Hutson of Livingston, Mont., and Todd Bennett of Las Vegas, Nev.; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Templins Red Lion Inn in Post Falls.
