PLOWING: Foot the bill, Mr. H

| September 18, 2011 10:00 PM

I was just sitting here thinking about the article in this morning's paper (Sept. 13) "Night snow plowing on ice." Last year it cost the ITD $229,000 for group costs. Only $166,000 was allocated for this year. Most of the concentration of the money will go to the I-90 corridor, Coeur d'Alene and Hayden areas.

Then I started thinking about this world and what it would take for just one person to make a difference in the lives of many that would be saved by being able to plow our roads in the dead of winter. Without those services, think of how many lives we will lose. We live in North Idaho for God's sake. It should be a no brainer but it's not. So who in this community could seriously save lives with a donation that (a.) is tax deductible but (b.) the right thing to do?

That would be Mr. Hagadone. I am calling him out because he has money and needs to give back and for a difference of $160,000 that man alone could save lives. These are my thoughts alone and I dare you to print this. I hope you do because you need to crack your wallet Mr. Hagadone and pay it forward.
