Miranda Mae Hoekstra, 5

Miranda Mae Hoekstra was born in Coeur d'Alene on May 30, 2006. She was granted her angel wings on Sept. 4, 2011, in Oceanside, Calif., at the age of 5, when the Lord called her home for another assignment.

Miranda's life would seem too short to many, but for those who were touched by her, they understand the quality of existence far exceeds quantity of time in which you live it.

Her radiant smile could melt the hearts of those around her and her unforgettable voice could always be heard.

Miranda far exceeded her years. She had such a grasp for life and boldness in her faith. She was the most compassionate, loving little girl that would put others before herself every time. She enjoyed life to its fullest, always making the best out of every situation. She loved playing with her older sister Brianna and little brother Samual. Her heart was for music, animals, and just making others smile, a true social butterfly.

Her adoring parents are Jennifer (Johnson) and Jonathan Hoekstra.

Miranda is survived by many beloved grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

This little angel will be missed terribly by her family and friends.

A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 16, 2011, at Cowboy Church, 8311 N. Idaho Road, Newman Lake, Wash., 99025.

A Miranda Mae Hoekstra memorial fund has been established at U.S. Bank.
