Dennis Robertson Jr., 76

Dennis Biggs Robertson Jr., 76, left us to be with his Lord, Monday, Sept. 12, 2011. He was born on June 7, 1935, in Swift Creek Township, N.C., to Dennis Sr. and Roxie Robertson. He served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne and was a Korean War veteran.

Dennis was a loving father and cherished friend. He always had a smile to share and a hand to lend to anyone who needed it. He was a very proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather who always had a sparkle in his eyes. Dennis loved animals, the outdoors and shooting pool. His easy going personality let him make a friend of anyone he met. His loving touch and his infectious laughter will be missed. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ernie Robertson. He is survived by his children Sheri Hautala and husband Ron, Post Falls; Tony Robertson and wife Debbie, Urbana, Ill.; Terry Newcomb and wife Mary Jo, Scammon, Kan.; Chris Hardee, Greenville, N.C.; four grandchildren Aaron Gilmore and wife Jennifer, Boise; Robbie Newcomb, Columbus, Kan.; Natalie Burton and husband Steven, Columbus, Kan.; Jessie Newcomb, Scammon, Kan.; three great-grandchildren Will, Madison and Tyler; brother Ron Robertson and wife Shirley, Palm Bay, Fla.; five nieces and two nephews.
