OBAMA: My kind of Superman
What has President Obama done for me?
Superman is flying overhead and spots a passenger train heading for a cliff. The bridge has been washed away. What does he naturally do? He speeds into action and dives into the path of the train and with the strength of millions, brings the train to a stop.
So what is the problem? Thanks to Superman, nothing happened. What was the cost of the locomotive that was not destroyed? Who was able to come home to their wives and husbands and moms and dads and did not die? What insurance companies did not pay out on policies? What lawyers did not go to court? What graves were not sold? What children and grandchildren will be born to these passengers?
If it did not happen, if Obama had not stepped in front of the General Motors train wreck or fight to protect our Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid, what kind of a disaster would we have?
Obama will never get a statue for what did not happen, but I thank God he is there.
