PHOTO: Shows irresponsibility
I am a man in my mid-70s and have been over half of the world and seen many things. I have visited zoos and parks in Seattle, San Diego, Stockton, Calif., Minot, N.D., and other places. In all my years I have NEVER seen what I did a few days ago in The Press.
At the Kootenai County fair was a picture of two youngsters next to an alligator. I relate this to tourists in Yellowstone and Glacier national parks putting youngsters next to bears and taking pictures.
In MY OPINION this picture in The Press may or may not be very close to child endangerment. Both on the part of the parents and the owners of the reptile.
Do people realize just how close it could have been for either child to lose an arm or hand or worse? I have been taking my children to petting zoos and kid themed parks of zoos and never have seen any place where a dangerous reptile was displayed for petting.
