CHARGES: They don't add up
Why does a verbal altercation warrant such a charge? The story of Mr. Diekhoff being arrested for felony malicious harassment does not sit well with me, for several reasons. One of the requirements for such a charge is that there is reasonable cause to believe that the acts (carry out threat) will occur. Although there was no description of the alleged victim's (Mr. Lee which was reported in another news outlet) physical stature, given his description of Mr. Diekhoff as "short, fat and bald" does not sound like Mr. Lee was too worried about him. The story describes the "victim" retrieving a baseball bat. Maybe it is just me, but does that sound like "victim?" The story then has Mr. Lee returning to confront Mr. Diekhoff. Again, where is the "victim?"
