13th annual Winter Swap at Kootenai County Fairgrounds Nov. 5

The Lookout Pass and Silver Mountain volunteer ski patrols are hosting the 13th annual Winter Swap at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items for sale will include new and used skiing equipment, snowboarding gear, accessories, as well as all types of winter clothing.

This is an excellent time to pick-up equipment or clothing that you need for the upcoming season or clear out the closets of stuff that you or the kids have outgrown.

Admission is $5 per person. Children 12 years and under are free with a paying adult. Each paid admission comes with a raffle entry for the grand prize drawings for a season ski or board pass from Lookout Ski Area and Silver Mountain.

In addition to the new and used winter sports gear, there will be a vendor fair building. Several of the ski areas in the region will be present, selling passes and taking photos for season passes, as well as talking about their improvements for the coming season.

Proceeds from the Winter Swap will be used primarily for patroller training to improve rescue and first aid capabilities on the mountain.
