KYRO: Skate to the finish line
I am amazed at the work that Matthew Beam has done toward rebuilding the KYRO center. But despite his hardest efforts, money is still short. Is there any way to get funding for this new KYRO center, that is a nonprofit, and exists to serve the children and adults of this community?
I am writing as I heard about the plight of KYRO and am a huge hockey fan. I am a native of Spokane and spent all of my youthful summers in Coeur d'Alene.
I am NOT a Californian but just live here, and still visit my relatives in Spokane every summer and then stay at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.
I would love to see this rink completed for all the kids. Hockey has been an amazing sport for my son. Figure skating was wonderful for my daughter. And my husband at 65 is a hockey player as well. Even though I do not even live there, and will probably never use your rink, I still donated toward KYRO, just out of principle. Hockey is a busy activity and keeps kids productively and very happily occupied. The children of Coeur d'Alene deserve to have their rink back! The bonding that occurs between father and son is just priceless. Hockey brings everyone in the family together.
Please help out. Can someone with deep pockets step up to the plate? The kids are waiting for the puck to drop!
Yours sincerely,
