BULBS: Questions; who has answers?
Take your pick. Lose a child or beloved pet to inevitable serious harm, or keep using "older" light bulbs?
We're deeply concerned about a supposed "green" light bulb that contains mercury and a gas, for many reasons:
1. When these bulbs break, do they explode?
2. How can one tell if the contained mercury is really gone?
3. If one can't vacuum, how can one rid their home of the particles of glass?
4. No one seems to be concerned for children and/or pets. Small children and pets either crawl or play on the floor. They are both active, mischievous; often knocking tables, lamps over.
5. Not carefully thought out ahead is the mandated use of these "non green" fluorescent bulbs.
6. The very fact one cannot vacuum up particles, if one of these bulbs gets broken, is an obvious, huge problem.
7. It now seems the floor in all homes cannot be the play area for children? Impossible. The government, under EPA, had better re-think this mandate. Stay out of our homes! The public must be told clearly about the dangers of these new bulbs; refuse, then, to use them!
