COEUR d'ALENE (AP) - Authorities say the body of a Lewis-Clark State College student last seen Sept. 30 has been found on the shoulder of U.S. 95 south of Moscow.
Idaho State Police said that on Saturday they responded to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.
Police said 36-year-old Joshwa C. Merriken was likely hit on Sept. 30 sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. by a late 1980s or early 1990s Ford pickup with a camper.
Police on Sunday declined to say why they believe Merriken was hit between those times and by that type of vehicle. Police say they are investigating.
The Lewis-Clark State College student was last seen walking along the highway toward Moscow.
Police say he was wearing dark clothing with no reflective gear.
