| November 28, 2011 9:00 PM

Barry Breazeal passed away from cancer on Nov. 25, 2011, in Hayden. He was born in Kellogg on May 21, 1940, to Vernil and Louise Breazeal who preceded him in death. In 1962, Barry married Evelyn Montee and together they raised their two children, Larry and Brenda. Barry's wife, Evelyn, and daughter, Brenda currently reside in Yuma, Ariz. His son, Dr. Larry Breazeal, and his son's wife, Chris, and three children, Tom, Nicole and Emily, reside in Hayden.

Barry was raised in the Silver Valley and graduated from Kellogg High School in 1958. Pik Kwik in Kellogg was lucky enough to have Barry as a meat cutter for 21 years. In 1985 the family moved to Alaska where Barry was employed by Carrs/Safeway in Anchorage until his retirement. Upon his retirement, the family spent the summer in Soldotna, Alaska, and Yuma, Ariz., in the winter or Idaho on the way through. In Alaska, Barry found gratification in working with challenged individuals, assisting them with their challenges in life. Barry loved to cook, garden, fish, golf, square dance and teach others to dance. Barry received numerous awards for his beautiful flower garden. One of Barry's passions was helping his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Evelyn, and children, Larry and Brenda, Barry also is survived by his brothers; Dick (Joan) Breazeal, of Orlando, Fla.; Vern (Niki) Breazeal and Sam Breazeal, of Lewiston, Idaho, his sisters; Sandy Martello (Diane Burnham), of Lewiston, and Amber (Rod) Barker of Roy, Wash. He also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. Barry will be missed by all.

Family and friends are invited to a service at 2 p.m. Friday at Hayden Bible Fellowship, 9140 Reed Road, Hayden. Lunch will follow the service. There will be an additional memorial service for Barry next summer at Poacher's Cove, Soldotna, Alaska.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Barry's name be made to your local hospice or food bank.
