LETTER: Press 'hits the bottom'
In all due respect, can you justify your intentions or values in printing the letter from Cecil Kelly III on Wednesday, Nov. 16? Aside from the fact that he did not write in sentences, is it of interest to the community that we know about his sex life 33 years ago? Or do we really care? Are we to believe that a woman just has to say "No, I can't stop you" to an attacker and she will be spared from possible abuse and rape? And HE gets "ticked off" because HIS standards are higher than some others?
I had to re-read his letter several times before realizing it was not a joke, a hoax, a misprint or something written in secret code by an alien. I understand that you have the prerogative to print what you choose, but you have definitely hit the bottom on this one.
Shame on you for insulting the values, integrity and intelligence of your readers. We deserve more respect from you.
