POWER: Feeling over-regulated?

| November 16, 2011 9:00 PM

Recently a section of ObamaCare was deemed not workable by Secretary Sebelius: The Class Act. Most people don't know but Sec Sebelius has unbelievable powers to enact provisions of ObamaCare: There are more than 2,500 references to the secretary of HHS in the health-care law (in most cases she's simply mentioned as "the Secretary"). A further breakdown finds that there are more than 700 instances in which the Secretary is instructed that she "shall" do something, and more than 20 cases in which she "may" take some form of regulatory action if she chooses. On 139 occasions, the law mentions decisions that the "Secretary determines." Our health care and lives are in the hands of Secretary Sebelius!

What if she were called before the House and forced to fill in the many blanks that are left open. What action would she take on each and every one of them? What would be the impact on all U.S. Citizens from her actions and answers? In the interest of transparency we need to know what her responses are. I am betting that she would stumble around with responses like we will study that or set up a committee and get back to you that same type of responses that the EPA gave when they were required to justify their regulations. We must enforce the REINS Act in both the House (H.R 10) and Senate S.299. We want answers and we want them now!
