VETERANS: No time to celebrate

It's Veterans Day and I am reminded of the USMC. For myself, Veterans Day isn't a time to celebrate. Me and many of my friends, from Desert Storm, wish it would just go by.
We hide from society; we don't want to go back or be reminded. It's nice people thank you for your service, but the healing process for us is not to remember. The scars, and the constant trips to a failing V.A. Hospital is reminder enough.
So please remember, it's not that we're hermits, we have just lived a different life than many of you.
