KNIVES: Gifts for our military

The Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season will soon be here and for some local families, the best present will be the safe return of a friend or relative from military service in Iraq or Afghanistan. We have a special gift for U.S. servicemen and women who have served a tour in Iraq or Afghanistan. The gift is from our donors who appreciate the honorable military service of those who have been in harm's way.

The Buck commemorative knife is a gift, and is not available for sale either at Buck Knives Inc. or by me. Each knife comes with a thank-you card and a history packet containing the donor list and publicity of presentations from 2005 forward.

U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine knives are available in limited quantities to those eligible service personnel home for the holidays who have not received previously.

Funds donated to this program are used to purchase the knives. My wife and I pay all expenses of this program. Special thanks to God, the Buck family, Buck Knives Inc., the Coeur d'Alene Press, Post Falls Press and our other donors.
